The wait was about a half hour on Friday night at about 6... to be expected. They could really use a bigger waiting area though, it was very cramped for everyone waiting for a table. Atmosphere was good... kind of an upscale pub feel. Service was okay. When the waitress was bringing drinks, she accidentally spilt one of the beers on the table and partially on one of our party. She apologized and cleaned it up quickly, however we feel that he should have gotten his beer free, or some other freebie for the beer in the lap. Nothing was offered though. Also, 3 of us ordered the soup of the day, which was butternut squash, and we all received the dahl soup instead. However, it was so good, none of us sent it back! Other than these 2 things, the service was fine. The food was the real treat! The dahl soup was amazing! So was the mushroom stilton. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees as well. The sweet potato fat chips were very good, as were the seasonal vegetables. The duck wasn't too fatty either which was nice. Overall, it was a good experience with really great food. I'll definitely go back again.
Food was great, the atmosphere is really inviting. The server was really nice and attentive and the service was fast. Not typical pub food as I may have originally guessed that it was. The menu options are very limited, maybe only 10 options.
The service and music could have been better but over all a great concept. They should do well.
My party and I went on a friday night with high expectations. We had heard a lot about the place and the quality of the food and decided to check it out. The wait (about 15 minutes) was acceptable and the servers provided us with drinks to wait. I started with the dahl soup; excellent appetizer. The pork however, left a lot to be desired. It was overdone and tasteless. Plus, a bit of rice and veggies is not worth the price we paid. My largest gripe however, was that we were seated near the door to the kitchen, and the overheard obscenities being used were "colourful" to say the least. Overall, our experience was bad and I will NOT be returning
I was not impressed with the chicken wings on the kids menu. They were tasteless and had no sauce on them. They were totally unappetizing. My child had a hard time eat them since they were so dry and tasteless. I feel that 7.00 for 4 chicken wings was far too much to charge for what you are offering. Furthermore, the ham and cheese on the baguette was ok however, the baguette was rock hard so it was extremely difficult to eat. Furthermore, the salad served with the sandwich was warm. We were told that the reason for this was because the meal had been made on was sitting around waiting for the other 2 meals to be made. Salads and sandwiches are supposed to be served cold, not warm unless you specifically state that they are to be served this way. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our meal and feel that we were extremely overcharged for what we recieved.
