In the world of nightclubs, longevity is not a word used that often. Club La Boom defies that stereotype. Since its inception in 2001, the nightclub was designed to withstand the ebbs and flows of partygoers’ attentions by attracting people both locally and from all over the world. “Club La Boom has promoters around the world: in France, in Spain and in Italy,” says head of marketing Justin Heuff. “When tourists come to town, they end up going to La Boom because of that. We gear a lot of attention towards tourism. A lot of clubs don’t do that. They prefer to cater to the locals. The problem with that is the locals change their mind frequently.”

Club La Boom also fosters great relationships with the local community. It’s situated close to Concordia and McGill universities, making it an ideal hangout for the college crowd. “The tourism game is where we focus attention, but we also focus on students,” says Justin. “We target the 18-to-25-year-old age group so we do a lot of events with universities.”
