My wife took me out to this restaurant last weekend for my birthday. I ordered the cookhouse sirloin steak, and my wife ordered the beef ribs. Most of my ribeye was inedible as it was gristle. My wife has much the same experience with her beef ribs, where as most of that was inedible as well. If it was just me, I would have thought it was a fluke and brought it to the waiter’s attention. However, since both of us had the same experience with different entrees, I am under the impression that the place selects cheaper lower quality meat as a manner of policy, which is not fitting with the menu prices at all. So, in the end we will dine elsewhere next time we are in Toronto.
Service all in all was ok, nothing to complain about, but not great either.

We went there for mother's day and my mom ordered meat loaf and mash potatoes. she got sick as soon as we got home and it ruined our whole plan for mother's day.
The service was great and our waiter was friendly...
The service was great and our waiter was friendly and accomodating. The food was good and the desserts were delicious - we asked for extra plates and shared the desserts.
