As per the name "The Lighthouse" I expected a restaurant that was a lot more upscale and overlooking the Bay. I was disappointed with the small size of the restaurant as well as it's lacklustre interior decor. Based around a solarium theme, the overhead glass panels looked like they hadn't been cleaned of dead flies in a very long time. It was unappetizing to look up and see that before ordering a meal. It was also very hot and humid inside. I was expecting air conditioning, which most restaurants offer. The food for the most part was good. The caesar salad was fresh. The portion of white turkey and gravy I was served was good but way too much on the plate to finish it all. The baked potato, however, was very small and dry and overcooked so that part of it was inedible. Mashed potatoes were not an option on the menu either, which is something that goes well with turkey. The bread with the meal was very dry, not fresh at all. Everything about the meal was adequate but there was nothing special about my dining experience there to make me want to return for another meal.
