If you have the time to kill and don't mind being squeezed in or sometimes listening to the hung over college kids, it is quite the meal. I've passed going there a few times due to crowd. But have never been disappointed with the food at all or the value.
Best breakfast around! If you're looking for a good old fashioned diner-style breakfast, then this place is worth the visit. In my experience, the Simcoe St location offers the best quality food and boasts the best atmosphere of all the chain's Oshawa locations. Expect good portions, good flavour, and an authentic diner atmosphere. This is not a health food place, so don't be surprised if there's a little grease with your sausage and ham :-) The 5-star combo is always a winner with peameal bacon, ham, sausage, eggs, toast, and tasty home fries. The burgers are good too (expect BIG!) but nothing beats their breakfasts on a cold winter morning.
After waiting approximately 10 minutes for a table, we were then served and a short while after that we were given our food. I thought that the meal was quite filling, and a large portion..I had to take a 'doggie bag' for later. I will definately be coming back...especially when we were given a 10% dicount with our student id cards!!!
Greasy , frozen fries, too expensive, I dont care for the atmosphere, I just expect GOOD FOOD
Good old style diner food. The portions are mammoth but snacky. Burgers are big and tasty. Every item on the kids menu is too big for a kid to finish. Nothing flashy, but comfortable service, interesting signage to look at, and wall mounted juke boxes in each booth. Feels like being a kid again. Great for breakfast too.
Best Burger in Oshawa, as long as you don't mind a bit of grease. I usually only order the burger because the size of it is enough to fill my appetite. We were offered either tap or bottled water which was nice. Old style booths for seating. There's lots to read on the walls if you like the old nostalgia from the 60's, very large collection. Old style juke boxes that could use some volume maintance, plus 25 cents a tune is bit expensive, considering the quality, but overall the experience was a good one and we will return. I've tried other Wimpy's restaurants in the area, their just not the same, this is the only one I would recommend eating at. The bill came to 33 dollars for our party.
Great all day breakfeasts.Atmosphere is retro Americian 1960's generic greasy spoon.Mix of unpretentious types.
Well I went in for a Burger today ,and was Asked "what do you want"--just like that. I said I will have a burger frys and water "what would you like to drink?" I said again water please. 15 min go by and: "has you placed a order?" Yes I said. "what would you like to drink?" again I said water please 45 min later still no food and the grill was empty I did not want to cause up trouble so i grabbed my Jacket and left Later I called to speake with the Manager and they said they dont know when She will be in. This is not the 1st time they have treated me like poorly but it is the last.
