My family of 3 had dinner at the restaurant 2days ago. The service was ok but the food was terrible! We had to wait for almost an hour for the food. Then, finally when the food came, the pasta was way over cooked. It was so mushy and blend that I couldn't eat. It was same with my daughter's gnocchi. My husband's veal dish was ok. But, over all, the food was terrible and was way over priced. I do not recommend to any one.

Some things never change

Went here several times a month with family throughout the 80s & early 90s. A lot of great memories and got goosebumps when I walked in the doors nearly 20 years later. Same decor, same great food & service, and Sinatra is still the music of choice. The cheese manicotti is even better than I remember and I can't believe I went without a Troc Salad for so long. Delicious & fresh tossed in the same homemade vinaigrette. And the meatballs? Simply awesome. It's a trip back in time for sure. I can't tell you how happy I am that I have rediscovered this Hamilton landmark. And that after 70 years the same high standards still hold up. Only open weekends and closed in the summer starting in July I think. If you're on the fence, just go you won't regret it.

Straight out of the lovely '60s!

We love this place! Such a great little family run business! Very old school. They were featured in "The Kennedys" TV show this year, and no wonder. Very retro atmos, from gold-swirled mirrors, black lavastone facade, great italian standards and sweet, charming owners. The people here really care about the clientele. They make sure you have everything you want, made fresh to order. Great food, great service and utterly charming. If you want a quiet date at a sweet little italian place, this is where to go!

Secret Spot

Utterly fascinating old restaurant. A trip back in time. A good trip. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good, old fashioned Italian fare. The lasagna was very nice. The Caesar salad was really excellent. I love the old time flavour of the food and the place. The interior is a dimly lit but inviting cave. The exterior--a one of a kind fascade of lava-stone. Worth visiting just to see the place. We'll be back.

They said HOLD ON - it is a pretty big bird hahaha

Alright Im not going to write a big letter on here but here is what I have experienced in that restaurant: 1. No parking 2. My food was cold on top, luke warm on the bottom , chicken was overdried that one would choke on it!!! 3. Long waiting time ! Over an hour ( note: there was like nobody inside the restaurant, it was dead in there! 4. The seats are not comfortable - hurts even now + their seat is teared up ! 5. They don't have too much in their menu to choose from 6. They expected a TIP from me after they knew how bad job they've done. So yeah I will never return . For me a bad experience on my anniversary :(
