At McKenzie Veterinary Services, we have been serving pets and their owners since 1990 at our hospital on 3888 Carey Rd in Victoria, BC. For your convenience, we are open 7 days a week with evening appointments on weekdays.

Our staff will ensure that you and your pet's concerns are addressed quickly and completely. We have a spacious waiting area and 5 exam rooms where we can perform consultations on both healthy and sick pets.
We encourage preventative health care and regular examinations for all pets as early diagnosis leads to a healthy and happy pet.
We can fill your pet's prescriptions from our on-site pharmacy plus we offer many non-prescription health products, such as veterinary diets and nutritional advice, flea control medication and medical devices, all to improve the quality of your pet's life.

With our in-house diagnostic equipment we can arrive at a diagnosis quickly, so we can develop a treatment plan for your sick pet.
We are a full service pet hospital.
We have 5 surgical bays.
We also do pet dentistry, oncology, ophthalmology, and have an onsite lab for blood work.

If anyone is looking for a Vet in Victoria, Dr. Eric Wilkening at Mckenzie Vets is amazing! I had to take my kitty Emma, who is 14, in for surgery and I was concerned with having her under anesthesia. He was compassionate, caring, completely through, and transparent in what was going to happen during surgery. He relieved any nervousness I had about the surgery. Emma recovered so well and her sutures were amazingly done. Truthfully, Dr. Wilkening is one of the best Vets I’ve ever seen.
Never in my entire life have I experienced such wonderful veterinary care as I have at McKenzie Vet Services. Dr. Burniston has been an actual angel for my sick cat and I. Without him my cat would likely not be alive. He was very understanding of my low income and worked around that, even donating what he could. I will never go elsewhere in Vic!

Unacceptable, unpleasant, unhelpful, uninterested and unfriendly. I phoned to inquire about their mobile services for our terminally ill dog. The receptionist was incredibly unhelpful, uninterested and unfriendly. I asked to speak to the manager. I was on hold for almost 10 minutes and they never came to the phone. I’ve since learned of other very disturbing cases where McKenzie Veterinary have failed to provide adequate service and care for pets and their owners.
The staff at McKenzie Veterinary Services is always so friendly and helpful. They keep he whole place so clean and organized. I never have to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seen which is very helpful to me.
The home visits provide all the same care and are equipped with what seems to be a lot of needed supplies. I feel it's well worth the extra cost and appreciate them coming out in any weather to see our beloved Boy Nero.
Over the summer we had to say goodbye to our dog and it was a very hard time for our family. But the staff at McKenzie Veterinary Services were extremely compassionate and went above and beyond for our family. Thank you.

Had a situation with a dog we adopted through them. We finally got it solved, pretty much accidentally, after which they were completely patronizing, they refused to admit any responsibility, wouldn't even listen to our side of the story, and they flat out refused to apologize, even after I directly asked for an apology. After we are done with what we have already been charged for, we will not be stepping through those doors again.

Friendly!
Everyone here is friendly and competent, it's always a good experience whenever I bring my pets in.
I was in recently because my dog came down with an infection, they took excellent care of her and the follow up calls afterwards to check in on her were much appreciated.
I brought in my sick puppy here and had a wonderful experience as always. They treated her with great care and the staff is extremely nice and efficient!
