A good vacation idea to get the whole family together for some quality face-time? Indulge in a family brunch together at your hotel.
When you’re on vacation with your family, things can get hectic. Some family members prefer lounging pool-side, while others enjoy sightseeing the historical landmarks. What can begin with the intention of spending time together on vacation can end up being a mess of schedules that just don’t match up.
One good vacation idea is having a family brunch together at your hotel. It can be nice to relax and catch up on everyone’s vacation experience before everybody splits up again for the day, whether it be pool-side or an adventure in the local town.
Brunching has become a popular trend, and in some places, weekend brunch is practically an institution. Brunch foods typically include fresh fruit platters, bagels, often with cream cheese and smoked salmon slices, pastries, croissants, pain au chocolate, yogurt, granola, cereals, French toast, eggs, fruit juices, coffees, teas, and more. Eggs Benedict is also a popular brunch menu item.
Many hotels offer a brunch option, from more inexpensive hotels, all the way to high-class hotels. Some hotels offer complimentary breakfast or brunch buffets, while others prefer to serve à la carte menus. If your family includes young children, a more family-friendly hotel brunch would be ideal. Hotel brunch buffets allow little ones to pick and choose what they want to eat, in as small or large quantities as they desire. Family-friendly hotels are also more likely to tolerate loudness, running around, and crying children, whereas more exclusive, expensive hotels would likely frown upon such behaviour out of consideration for their other high-paying patrons.
Certain hotels offer live music at brunch, which can make the experience more enjoyable for the whole family. Typically, hotel brunches run from about nine or 10 in the morning until approximately two in the afternoon. It’s best to arrive near the beginning so that you and your family can pick from the whole selection of food options — before the best items get eaten up by others! Happy brunching.
