DIY treatments for neck and throat skin

A woman's décolletage has long been a symbol of beauty and femininity. But the skin on your neck and throat is significantly thinner and more sensitive than on other parts of the body, so daily care is required to keep it firm.

• Combat loose skin and aging with an oil wrap. Mix about 15 millilitres (one tablespoon) of almond oil with one tablespoon (15 millilitres) of honey, spread the mixture onto a cloth and apply to your throat for one hour. Apply weekly.
• Reduce neck wrinkles with parsley milk. Heat up 500 millilitres (two cups) of whole (3.25 per cent) milk and add a bunch of chopped parsley. Let it steep for a few minutes, then strain the milk and let it cool to lukewarm. Moisten a soft, clean cloth with the parsley milk, place it on your throat and let it work for 15 minutes.
• To tighten the skin on your neckline and throat, make a lemon cure by beating one egg white until stiff, then stirring in the juice of one lemon. Apply and wait 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and apply moisturizing cream to your skin.
• To prepare a skin balm for nightly skin regeneration, mix 25 millilitres (two tablespoons) apricot kernel oil, 15 drops jojoba oil, three drops neroli oil and two drops each of almond, rose and lavender oil with 10 millilitres (two teaspoons) glycerin. Pour into a dark, sealable container. Gently rub a few drops into your neckline and throat before bedtime.
• For a flawless neckline, puree about 100 grams (3 1/2 ounces) of raspberries and mix with 10 millilitres (two teaspoons) each of almond bran and honey, as well as one egg yolk. Apply to your neckline as a mask, and rinse after 30 minutes with warm water.
• Throat exercises help keep skin firm. Reach over your head to grasp your left ear with your right hand. Carefully turn your head to the left, hold the tension for a few seconds and then relax. Do the same with the other side.
