I have eaten in most restaurants downtown, and one day decided to try Abruzzo. First impression was that is it a little too old style - decor was quite old fashioned. But over all nice and quiet. The food though makes up for short coming in the decor department. I can't say that they were as good as home made italian food, but came pretty darn close. Overall I would highly recommend this place. Read more

The new space is lovely- refined but traditional. Tasteful, the art, lighting, linens. Food and wine has always been consistently wonderful. Service is always exceptional, so nice to have professional waiters. Also really appreciate the lovely personal service when making a reservation. Hey! I recently found out that I am alergic to wheat of all things, so I figured I was condemned to a no pizza existence, which for me is a fate worse than death. BUT WAIT! Last week I went to my old buddy Pizza Bob's plave in Calgary, and tied something new. A gluten free pizza! That means, it has no wheat flour at all. I had the newest gluten free offering, which was the gluten free pulled pork. WHOA! Instead of tomatoe sauce, they have a buttery pork kind a gravy on it. Anyways, the sauce was amazing, and the pizza was the best I ever had at Pizza Bobs. I actually enjoyed it MORE than my usual, which used to me "Ami's Favorite". Wow, I hope more restaurants start serving gluten free food, because I was amazed that it could be so good. How about a gluten free bagel or croisant? Do they exist? I'm gonna find out. Try this pulled pork pizza, if you don't flip over it, I will be shocked. Yummie! Of course, the rest of my Pizza Bob experience was the usual... great friendly people, live blues music and Kareokee on the weekends. Kensington rd at crowchild. I love it. Read more

I cannot believe it took me so long to discover the $5 hot and ready pizza deal at Little Ceaser's in Airdrie! I have to admit, when you think of a $5 Medium pizza from a pizza place, you are a bit skeptical as to what you are going to get but honestly, this pizza rivals anything that the other pizza shops have, delivery or otherwise! You cannot even buy a frozen pizza for dinner at the grocery store for less than $5 to feed your family, and I have 3 very hungry kids! I can stop in on my way home from work, grab 3 or 4 pizzas and dinner is READY, all for less than $20 to feed my whole family! And did I mention is really is HOT and great tasting??? I am there at LEAST once a week! Read more
