My girlfriend (aged 21) and me went here recently and we had sushi. She is very into sushi like crazy and me too now. So of course I am now into this asian cuisine. The Sushi rolls were a new experience for me (I recommend the Italian and the Jalapeno). It was good to see someone fusing lots of different tastes and styles together from around the world. Ichiban was a really sound place, they recommended dishes and he also explained how he put them together. Like I say, I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Katsura is tucked away in a separate, but connected, building right beside the main building of the Prince Hotel. The food here is very good but only slightly better than the cheaper places in the area. The teppanyaki tables are good. The sushi is fresh. The prices are high and the portions are not particularly large. So why would someone choose this place over its cheaper competitors? It's the decor and the service that makes this place stand out. From the moment you step in out of the snow, you are surrounded by tasteful Japanese decor. In the main dining area, the place is elegant, simple and to the point. The design allows large groups to eat in semi-isolation. This is the restaurant you impress your dining partner, be it a business meeting or a first date. Read more
