The Watermark is a welcome addition to a kind of tired Waterdown restaurant scene. Small town full of pubs selling the same old stuff. First thing you notice is the booths. Like small caves! pretty cool. four of us sat in a booth that was roomy and private. The servers were friendly and we we seated pretty quickly. I had heard that the Watermark was a little pricey so I was surprised to find that the food was priced very reasonably. We shared a few apps. California Fusion Nachos, Sweet Heat Scallops and an order of South West Shrimp Flatbread. The Nachos are not your regular pile of chips with stuff on top. These were individual portions topped with some chicken, pinapple, and other stuff that tasted great. I always order the chefs special because I like to see what a chef can bring to the table (pun intended). The grilled salmon was awesome. charred perfectly and an amazing avocado salsa on top. My wife had the Sonoma Chicken and loved the flavors. I think that is what you notice the most about the Watermark. Some creative flavor combinations that are pretty cool and they work. We've always wanted to try this place out, so we finally did! We reserved a table for two online for 630, but we didn't end up getting there until just before 7. The maitre'd read our special instructions that was sent with our online reservation and seated us in a quiet corner at a bigger booth for just the two of us. Not that the place was loud or overly busy, but it was great that we were seated farther away from the rest of the crowds that were there and we were not forgotten about! Since it was our first time there, our server showed us the menu and gave her suggestions. Some sounded tempting but we decided to go with our own choices. We both got steaks and got the Caesar salads to start. We also got bread with sweet butter and stuffed mushrooms. We started off with Caesar salad and bread served. Then our stuffed mushrooms. Then came our steaks. One done medium the other done medium well. They were both beautifully cooked and we both enjoyed our loaded potatoes as well! Since we were there to celebrate, our server took care of us with a rich dessert - double chocolate brownie! We enjoyed every part of our meal! The bread was a 7 grain bread, crisp on the outside, warm and light on the inside! The Caesar salad had a very nice garlic taste with a tiny kick. The steaks melted in your mouth and was easy to devour. The loaded potato (minus the chives) was nice and fluffy with lots of sour cream, cheese and bacon! And the dessert was an excellent addition! We both got drinks from the bar as well throughout our meal - they were mixed decently, but felt it was a little too light on the alcohol. All in all, our server was great, and never forgot about us, the maitre'd was excellent for our request. And we had a great first experience here. We'll definitely go again! Might I even say that its better than their competition? I believe so, but we'll have to see if they are just as great the second time around ;) Read more

I have lived in Dundas, Ontario for most of my life and have visited the Collins Brewhouse many times. I use the term ‘visited’ as if I am visiting someone’s home for the simple reason, each and every member of the Collins Brewhouse staff welcomes visitors’ as if they are family. It is a quaint pub and restaurant that adds more charm to the town of Dundas. The service is just as incredible as the food they serve. The southwest chicken wrap and chicken wings are super, I would without a doubt recommend these two dishes. Also, I have attended staff parties in the basement of the Collins Brewhouse. The accommodations that they provide such as; pool tables, a personal served bar, a big screen television, and food served in a buffet self-serve format, provide customers with fun and entertaining memories. As you can see in my review for the Collins Brewhouse, I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to all age groups. This restaurant has become one of our favourite places to go in Burlington. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are so nice! From the moment you sit down they already have tea for you. One thing weve never figured out is that they give you 1 less menu than the amount of people in your group. But it all works out. The food is absolutely delicious and everything you need is at arms reach at your table. I highly reccommend the medium rare beef soup (101.). It may be one of the most delicious soups on earth..! We ordered the Peppercorn Shrimp appetizer and the Roesti with Smolked Salmon. Delicious and plenty to share. We then ordered the Shrimp Pasta and the Hunter Schnitzel. The Bean Bar is a really good low key restaurant in the Westdale neighbourhood. They provide an extensive menu with a wide variety to choose from at a reasonable price. The food is fantastic and comes in portions that are not overwhelming where you can't finish it - just perfect. I brought my parents here to see what it was like and it exceeded their expectations. I had the ham and maple cranberry wrap and it was terrific. Definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxed and mellow which is nice to have conversation.
