If you are looking for a fun family activity that won’t break the bank, a walk through dozens of different animal habitats is a great way to kick off the break. Children will be amazed by the all the different species they’ll get to see. Birds, lizards, frogs, foxes, fish, otters – you can even stop in for the penguin feeding, which is probably the most adorable thing you’ll ever see. This is an amazing day trip for adults and children of all ages.

Playing throughout the week of Spring Break, there are tons of times to choose from and performances of this Disney on Ice performance are offered in both English and French! Let your child go on a magical escapade through dance and music with her favourite Disney characters.
With a library card, the Snakes & Ladders event on March 7, 2017 is absolutely free – and it sounds amazing! Kids can design their own board game and then get the chance to actually play it. This is a super fun activity for kids who love to be creative. Plus, they can take a tour of the library and browse through loads of great books afterwards. It’s a pretty genius way to keep them entertained for hours without spending a dime!
From March 5 to the 12, families can try out this museum’s baking workshop and learn how to make their own bread. Children will absolutely love the experience of getting to try out making food on their own. The workshop also comes with lots of fun facts on our city’s history. Plus, it’s free for all.
Animal Inside Out: BODY WORLDS is a chance to see animals in an entirely new light is one amazing way to spend Spring Break. This unique, impressive, and educational exhibit will definitely entertain older children. Visitors can see what over 50 different animals look like on the inside – a never before seen exhibit.
Enjoy a free movie and popcorn at this West Island library with a membership card. On the morning of Thursday, March 9, families are welcome to catch a flick and snack on fresh kernels. Children of all ages will have a great time and parents just might get an hour and a half of calm, quiet time with their kids.
Located about an hour away from Montreal, the most popular zoo for summertime fun is also open every weekend throughout the winter – and for the whole week of Spring Break. The waterpark may be closed but there are still loads of animals to see and much to learn about them. Lions, tigers, and bears, (oh my!) can be observed in their wintery habitat.
