Harvest Community Foods began as a community project, where a public vote determined the use of the space. It now offers groceries and a menu of delicious noodle dishes. Their standout dish features a hearty squash and miso broth and is topped with a heaping mountain of greens.
The busy Menya Japanese Noodle is a favourite lunch spot for many in the Cambie corridor. Make sure to put your name down on the clipboard when you arrive so you don’t lose your spot in line. Their veggie miso ramen is filled with plenty of vegetables for a hearty meal.
This brightly lit space is full of peppy young staff and an upbeat atmosphere, making it a great place to catch up with friends over a bowl of noodles. The creamy miso and soy milk bowl is very robust with plenty of veggies, including a portobello mushroom.
Ramen Danbo offers two vegan options – classic ramen and a spicier version – but with the full experience of customizing your dish with noodle thickness and firmness, broth and spice. The space is small and cozy.
Don’t let the lineup scare you away – the ramen is worth it at this popular little spot. Jinya offers two veggie options: a peppery clear broth packed with vegetables and a spicy, yet creamy vegan broth with thick noodles, tofu and veggies.
Passing by, this small space would be easily missed if it weren’t for the lineups! It has a small, yet cozy feeling and very welcoming staff. Try their tomato cheese ramen in original or spicy for a different take on the vegetarian dish.
