Pâtes bol is a restaurant located on Beaubien Street, run by brothers Yohann and Gregory Dhion. Originally from France, the two siblings have adopted Montreal as home, but missed eating pasta from bowls. "It helps keep it warm longer and the pasta is also easier to catch," says Yohann. And that's how the idea for Pâtes bol was born!
The two worked in catering and always wanted to opening their own eatery, which was not an easy feat. Like any entrepreneur starting out, there are challenges to face, be it finding a location or getting financing. For Yohann and Gregory, it was already done!
The restaurant opened on July 31, 2014. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, highlighted with personalized details. It is close to the Métro and welcomes many customers every day, mostly young people and families. That was also one of the reasons behind choosing the neighbourhood as a location. Yohann worked in the area and realized the area was booming. "It's a great commercial artery," he says.
