Andrea Peplow owns Garderie Imagination, a daycare and preschool located in Old Montreal. From a young age, Andrea dreamed of opening her own school, orphanage or summer camp. She already saw herself at the head of an educational institution for children. "There were no daycares. There was nothing. I went from zero. I didn't even have a business model. I was inspired by my high school," she recalls.
"At the time, there was a moratorium on Quebec private daycares. This was lifted and then we saw a great demand for child care," says Andrea. She now has more than 30 years of experience in the field of education and she wouldn't change one minute of it. Caring for children is what she does best. "I've always loved children and I have always been around them," she says.
When she opened Garderie Imagination in 2003 in Old Montreal, there were few services in the neighbourhood. With her vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, she jumped at the chance.
