Little do Daniel and Lisa Clarke realize it, but their restaurant is probably the best thing to happen to Leslieville’s foodie scene in a long time.
“It’s always an evolution,” says Daniel, a humble (and talented) native Aussie who’s been doing the food thing for 10 years in Toronto. “The minute you think you have it all figured out is the minute you start to lose a little bit.”
From the outside, Skin + Bones might appear like an upscale spot for the hip, young and fashionable dinner crowd, but the restaurant is very relaxed inside, with friendly, genuine staff who make you feel at home the minute you walk through the door. “We just want you to eat good food and drink well,” says Daniel.
Daniel and Lisa formerly lived and worked in Toronto’s west end and moved to Leslieville shortly after they opened Skin + Bones in 2012.

Skin + Bones has earned a reputation for its delicious and unique dining menus, but it’s also gaining attention for the wine collection. Wine selections include rare and lesser-known varieties that were carefully selected by consulting sommelier Peter Boyd.

Featuring industrial-style decor, it has a warm atmosphere and fresh, seasonal menu featuring locally-sourced products. Their brunch and lunch menus include a selection of innovative and classic cocktails and walk-in seating is available at their 40-ft. bar.
