Parts Gallery co-owner Dianna Witte thinks the Toronto art scene is something to brag about. “Toronto’s a growing art hub,” she says. “The quantity and quality of the art community - including artists, galleries, art walks, art fairs and collectors - is something to be excited about.” That local excitement comes in part from Dianna’s own contemporary gallery, which treats art, and the sale of art, a little differently.
While other galleries in the city cycle through numerous artists and exhibitions, Parts Gallery focuses on fostering a small group of talented creators. “We’re quite small in our roster because we like to grow with our artists,” Dianna explains. “We try to work consistently on promoting their work rather than having a rotating collection of artists, which brings through shows with artists that are never seen again. Our approach breeds trust and helps establish our identity.”
