Had to get up and ask the waitress twice to bring our waters, we were half way through our meal. Also asked if our bread was coming twice, see the waitress was very busy chatting on her phone behind the bar. Too bad because the food was good.
I've been to Oregano's many times and know the staff quite well. I usually split a pizza to start (margherita) and get an entree, or pasta. I love the veal parmigana. My husband and I went the other night and had an amazing meal, a wonderful bottle of wine recommended by our server that was perfectly paired to our meal. Wether you are grabbing a quick bite before the show, eating a 3 course dinner, or sipping on an espresso on the patio you can't go wrong with this sweet little neighborhood find! Salut!

We've left a review before - we are from out of town and whenever we are in the area, we would always visit this place. Great Italian food... they have been busy the three times we have visited here... but their food is worth it.
The first time we ordered the lasagna it was fantastic. Homemade thin lasagna sheets, plenty of savoury sauce , and meat. This time they cheated! Store bought lasagna, no flavor sauce....boring...meat, unseasoned. Not consistent!!! Both times ordered take out! Sometimes take out gets the leftovers I think, when they run out of the homemade good stuff.

The food was not the greatest but it was pretty good. However, the service was awful!!! Our waitress was extremely rude, unattentive, and our main dishes were not served at the same time, rather 20 minutes apart. I was very displeased due to the fact that I did enjoy their food but their service was a deterent for me to ever visit again.

After ignoring this neighbourhood restaurant for so long (probably due to its lackluster exterior appearance), we finally decided to try it out. It turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise.
The Veal Parmigiana was just delicous, probably the best I've had in Toronto. The Linguini Marinara was also very good. The portions were generously HUGE. Often times at restaurants, quantity does not match quality, but this local joint certainly does. The service was friendly, but unpretentious, which is how I like it. Overall, with its fresh ingredients, authentic flavours, fulfilling portions and reasonable prices, this place is definitely worth eating out for.
We ordered spinach and cheese stuffed gnocchi but received plain instead. When we told the waitress she said there was no such dish. After insisting she look at the menu she realized their was such a dish. So we asked for it but she returned with the plain gnocchi. Once again, it didn't exist! The penne and vodka was fine. They served them for the two guests and said the pizza will be coming shortly for the other three guests. 30 mins later our pizza came after the pastas. We did not eat together,because they brought out our food at different intervals. The pizza was soggy and very oily at the bottom of the crust. Because it took so long we lost our appetite and left. Two people ate and three filled on extra buttery garlic bread. Never again. We heard great things but they didn't deliver. ( no pun intended!)
I (the husband) am Canadian born, but pure Italian blood. We travelled to Toronto for the weekend as the Italian restaurants in Orillia just don't compare to authentic. Oregano's is the best we've had in ages. The pasta was al'dente, the veal was not overbreaded, the pizza was authentic stone oven... It all tasted fresh and homemade. Definetly NOT a wanna be restaurant. We would return again and again if we lived closer, but we will definitely return next time we are in the Toronto area.

This restraunt is incredible. The people are friendly, the mood/atmosphere is authentic and the food is quite literally mouth-watering. My family dines here at every significant occasion and just for a treat. Fantastic find!
