Food was ok. Advertised free wifi does not work and has not worked that last few times I was here. I believe the waitresses have been aware of the issue because they never got back to me with an answer of why their wifi does not work.
Got cut off after two beers sitting by myself not talking because I wouldn't order food... never go to angels dinner Orangeville
Was not impressed at all. Ordered the steak wrap and the meat was like cardboard. My mom ordered a burger and the bun was so soggy and cold. We waited almost 1 hour for food. Then I was charged for extra pop. Terrible service as well.
Great place...1st time here will be back..had Sunday breakfast, the entire time here the was a line up for tables...really busy and I know why.
Orangeville - Christmas Eve morning - 8:15am, we were seated immediately [after reading some of the reviews - we were quite surprised]; 8:17am server [Amanda] came and asked if we wanted coffee - coffee was on the table by 8:19am. She came back about 3-4 minutes later we placed our order and it arrived within 8 minutes after that. I had the French toast - it was Hot and very tasty and hubby had the Triple Play and everything was hot and tasty too. Not sure why there has been negative comments! We were pleased. Thanks.
Upon entry I was totally ignored but for brief smiles by the wait staff as they bustled by me with their food orders. I finally asked one of them if I was to seat myself and she informed me that no the girl in the red shirt who was on the far side of the room engaged in conversation with one of the wait staff was to perform this duty. She finally made an effort to do her job but was hardly a welcoming employee. Once seated, the very friendly efficient waitress arrived to take my order and was very attentive throughout the meal. I ordered the Veal Parmesan but was sadly disappointed by the food that arrived compared to other meals(breakfast) that I have eaten at this restaurant when passing through this town. When I tried to cut the veal with a knfe it was so hard and thin that it cracked rather than cut, the pasta was so large and waterlogged it was tasteless and was topped off by a non descript tomato sauce that was equally tasteless. The garlic toast was the highlight of the whole meal.At $14.95, I expected as at most establishments that the veal would be thicker than a slice of deli meat. All in all with the number of quality food establishments in the area, this will be my last visit here.
Today we went for breakfast in Angel,s Diner. to be frank before going there 1st time i read all the review and i was upset as i was invited by my friend. but i find they have imroved a lot since last review on wesite was 7 month ago FOOD.. all were good except eggs were under cooked. SERVICE.. it was excellent.. no waiting time. frequent visit by service lady for hot coffee overall it was very good at the early hours at 9.40am
It seems this restaurant is on the way down, the prices are higher the food quality is lower and the wait staff act like they have been there to long. On my last visit I ordered ham steak and eggs and I couldn't get even a third of that mushy fake ham into my gullet, the only reason I am giving the food two stars is the fact the eggs were cooked perfect. For the eleven dollars spent on a breakfast I expect real ham not spam
My husband and I have been to the Angel's in Orangeville more times than I can count. I only ever had one dinner that I didn't like and that was a veal or pork parmegiana and I once received a salad that was past it's sell by date. Other than that, the bfsts that we normally went for were mostly excellent, hot and cooked the way we ordered them. The smoked meat at lunch is excellent and the pork souflakki for dinner is very good & certainly plentiful. I have to admit that sometimes quality control is somewhat lax and amiss: One example is that the cooks seem to have a problem lining up their rye bread that comes with the smoked meat sandwiches! I've never had a problem pointing something out and receiving an apology and replacement. The servers that we normally request are Kendra or Annette. We have now moved to Wasaga Beach. There is a 50's diner here but in no way can it compare to Angel's. They would have dire competition if Angels were to open here. (They don't even play the 50's, 60's music!!) We miss our little "haunt" greatly.
it's like Happy days! Well not really, but the food portions are massive, the staff friendly, great parking. We don't go here enough, I always enjoy my time here, and I come away really full. ugh :-)
I, like many others have given this place many chances...due to location, and again and again I am let down. The food is not very good at all, the service is OK, nothing memorable. I honestly believe that blaming your server for a poor quality meal is unfair, they should be rated on the service they provide you. I believe the owner/s need to focus on food quality, not quantity. Just a suggestion - trim your menu down and focus on what few meals you do best or what ppl are drawn to, perfect those and perhaps some of us who have become totally turned off may give you another shot. I find the menu overwhelming to say the least. I will not visit this retaurant again any time soon.
Food here is horrible...its funny about the last review saying they like the gravy because its actually made from a TON of butter and bacon fat...enjoy your heart stopping gravy! ive also seen food dropped on the floor and put back on the plate and served which is DISGUSTING beyond belief. This place should not be open. Theres one cook in the back who has long dirty greasy looking hair with only a dark ball cap on and no hair net which is not acceptable and i see one of the bigger cooks always eating some food with his hands but never washing his hands!!!! so his spit is on our food most likely....GROSS...i have heard talk about how some of their waitresses have paid for their breast implants with money they made there...we as the customers do NOT need to hear that kind of stuff....worst place to eat EVER
I have given this place several chances in the last year. The ONLY good thing they have to me, is the gravy. I usually take my neice and nephew there, for burgers and fries. Every time, the burgers are still red inside, they don;t give us a chance to just order something else or money back, they automatically bring over a new order. The waitresses are all young, with attitude, not very intellegent ( to be generous). The ribs were dry and not very meaty, fries have been both great some days and dry/tough other days, ceasar salad is SOAKED in a vinegarry dressing rather than creamy, staff are a joke. I like the atmosphere and music, and menu choices but always a disappointment. Even the young kids I take there don't like the food, and they eat anything!!! All I want is the gravy, the rest sucks. Oh, battered chicken fingers, not breaded...greasy dried up leather.
When I asked to return order I was informed they do not accept returns and I would get a $4 discount; in turn, I payed a additional $10 for a meal that I could not consume thats hospitality in the finest. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!
On several occasions we saw the same waitress playing with her hair infront of a mirror in the main restaurant. Then she fixed the hair of another waitress. This goes on all the time. Then they serve food without washing their hands.
We all found the food enjoyable... no complaints....very large portions..way too much fries on everyones plate. We were given containers to bring home the left overs. Server Melissa was very friendly and helpful..even added icecubes to my toddlers chicken soup so she could eat it right away. We had 4 birthdays in our party and staff sang...we all enjoyed ourselves.
The food was okay, but our waitress was extremely miserable and knew absolutely nothing about customer service. We asked for refills of our drinks and it took her about 15 minutes to get them, she was too busy talking to her co-workers. My toddlers were very anxious for their apple juice and by the time she brought them everybody had finished their meals and we just wanted to leave. The waitress was pregnant, so we decided to give her a little leeway, maybe she was having a bad day, but still. Her miserable attitude and very poor/slow service were enough to put me off of coming here again, in spite of the food. She never said a word to us, just basically threw our food at us and if we asked for anything it was like it was a big bother.
Excellent restaurant and wonderful food. The waitress Michelle was very pleasant. Grandkids ate free!!! We heard the name of your restaurant on 88.5 The Gem. My granddaughters are called angels by me so we had to come to Angels Diner from King City!! Will tell our friends about this delicious place. Dawn B,
Angels is the best restaurant in town. Hands down. Everything is aweosme. And the waitresses are gorgeous!
Steak was undercooked and cold... and tasted like it had been nuked in the microwave. I can live with bad food, but the service is horrible. The next day I was talking to the girls at work about my bad experience and 2 of them have had this waitress before. She is more interested in socializing with her co-workers than making any tips! Melissa, you should really consider a new career.
