I use to be a regular at Milestones. Over the years, I have noticed a rapid downslope in all aspects, From Service, to price and quality. Today’s experience was no different. It began with a replenishment of my gin martini. I took a sip and it was nothing but salt, (very salty) and vermouth. They tried to tell me they did a dirty martini. Only thing is there is no salt in the mix and the gin was missing. Then my order came, Tomato and Basil Spagetteni. Presentation was terrible, it was a blob of pasta that looked like a child regurgitated, (sorry for the image), and covered with oil. And the pasta was chopped up, not whole. When I sent it back, the manger came up an apologised, but before I even told anyone why I sent it back she already knew why. She said the plate looked very bad, very oily and didn’t look appetizing, (then why was it sent out??). My wife asked her was the pasta supposed to be chopped and she looked at us and replied, “I thought you cur it up”. Lastly, dessert. We ordered Strawberry shortcake and got a Lemon cupcake in the center of a mountain of whip cream. Whole experience, BAD. Except for the manager who obviously was apologetic.
I've been to this location of Milestone's many times, and haven't been disappointed - the service is great, the hosts are great (I've been to other locations where the staff are a bit snooty, don't know why). We enjoyed our appetizer and I had a special from their seasonal menu. The dessert (also a new item from their seasonal menu) was great. I am disappointed that they haven't brought back some of their classics, like the white chocolate brownie, as well as with their usual dessert menu, but the food is usually very good.
We have gone to Milestone's many times before and I have to say that by far this was the worst dining expirience I've had. Our server's name was Melissa, perhaps she was having a bad night, but please at least try to be proffessional, no smile, long face, not the way to be greeted for sure...took 20 minutes for the drinks (restaurant was close to empty), and then another 20 minutes just to order our food, food was edible but nothing special, had to chase her down to get our bill...very dissapointed from a restaurant that usually provides great service and food.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. The food was ok, but the waiters were not professional at all. One of the chairs was dirty and we had to clean it ourselves! At the end, one of us ordered one cuppochino, but the waiter brought two! We kindly asked him to return one and he did. But guess what? When I went home, I noticed they charged us for two cups! I called and after 10 minutes was able to talk to the restaurant manager. After explaining what happened, he refused to refund us! I do not recommend this restaurant and will not go there anymore!
We have enjoyed this restaurant only once before, located in the Heartland area (Mavis Rd). We really were looking forward to this visit. Our server was very personable and friendly. Appetizer was OK but we'd not order it again. My ravioli was wonderful! No complaint. The steak special included crab and shrimp and a caesar salad $26.99. My husband ordered this, caesar had pickled onions on top (YIKES) too wierd -- the steak was prepared perfectly, and the shrimp just fine. Problem was our server did not deliver our meal to us, another server did, we noticed right after she "dropped it" on the table and ran, (for fear of a question?) that there was no crab on the plate. We started eating and did see our server about 10 mins later (she did not check on us -- we flagged her down) and asked did this steak not come with crab? She went to kitchen and asked them to prepare the crab and then 5 mins. later checked (we'd not received it yet). Then the Mgr arrived at our table and stated that he asked the cook about this and he claimed the crab was put on the plate!!! They did bring a small serving of crab in a sauce -- but too late! Sorry folks -- don't call us a liar. My husband was quite embarrassed and that was that. Ruined our $86. meal. Maybe not back to this location of Milestone's but perhaps to another! I don't know where they find their staff (Mgrs)!?
