Ballers’ Bistro is an entertainment destination featuring Snookball fun along with a premium-inspired food menu and bar selections for families and corporations.
An intriguing tag line underscores the Ballers’ Bistro sign at 600 Matheson Boulevard West in Mississauga: "Eat, drink, kick!" And if it piques your curiosity, “all the better,” says Chris Khokhar, general manager of the 7,600 square foot entertainment and dining venue that, since opening in late 2015, has become the go-to destination for GTA patrons and beyond.
Ballers’ Bistro has a serious wow factor going for it. “Chances are, unless you’ve been to Tokyo or Singapore lately, you’ve never seen a 25-foot pool table that you can actually walk on while kicking soccer balls during a 55-minute game that’s engaging for everyone,” says Chris.
The Ballers’ Bistro concept is based on Snookball, a combination of pool and soccer that got its start in France in 2014. Since then Snookball has become a breakout sensation winding its way around the globe from Taiwan, China, Singapore, Japan and Thailand. More recently, it’s found favour in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, “many other soccer-loving countries,” says Chris.
Ballers’ Bistro is the first and only Snookball venue in Canada. The three owners, who are friends, witnessed the Snookball phenomenon on a trip to Tokyo. Bringing their complementary skills to the table with financing, entertainment and hospitality experience, the trio put their heads together to build the Ballers’ Bistro concept. Chris says, “There’s nothing like it, so if you’re a soccer fan or a pool lover and you want to do something different, this is a perfect fit!”
