Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year at St. Francis Xavier High School. This year promises to be an exciting year. First and foremost I would like to welcome all the new grade students to our school for the coming year and all new grade 11 and 12 students as well. Our enrollment has increased by about 60 students this year bringing us to over a 1000 students to start school in the fall. This year we are going to entering our second year of the Alberta Learning High School Redesign Pilot Project. This project allows high schools the flexibility to try different initiatives to enhance student learning. One initiative that has been well received by the students is the Flex block that we have created in the middle of the day. During this 40 minute block all teachers are in their classrooms but without a scheduled class at that time.
