As a landlord I needed to get a carpet replaced in our rental unit in-between tenants. Shaw Carpets came thru big time starting with Joe/Lisa helping me choose a reasonably priced, durable but not industrial looking carpet, Tony popped in to verify our measurements and Kyle did a great job laying the very stiff durable carpet. They were all a pleasure to work with and I am so thankful this service is offered at a competitive price by a family business in our mountain town. PS: I didn't know any of these people before this experience; I won't hesitate to use them again.
We recently re-carpeted out home in Whistler, and we did alot of shopping before we decided who to work with. We shopped in Squamish and a couple of places in Vancouver. First of all, as far as service goes, the other stores all paled in comparison to the friendly and knowledgable service we received at Shaw Carpet. Their family was just spectacular, and you do not feel any of the pressure of a commission based company. They also were able to take care of the measure the SAME day we were in to look! Because they are all family, the girl helping us just phoned up her father and had him come out right away!
Also, the pricing was very competitive with Squamish and Vancouver. We compared their pricing with a competitor who was offering $199 special to install the whole house, and another company who claimed to be giving things away for free, and their price was still lower.
I am not usually the type to write a review, but I just had to let everyone know how great our experince with Shaw Carpet was. Especially since I also own a local business, and am a big fan of supporting other locally owned businesses!
