HORRIBLE Service

I made a reservation and arrived on time with half of my party. The other half was on a delayed SeaAir flight and were going to be 20 minutes late. We ordered drinks for the entire party and two appetizers in anticipation of their arrival. Upon their plane landing (we could see them de-planing on the dock behind us), the manager came over and told us that he was taking away our second table because our entire party wasn't there and they have a "15-minute rule". We argued that we could not control a flight delay, that we had ordered for the entire group in their absence and that they were visible walking up the dock to the restaurant (30 seconds away). The manager still said that he was taking our table. We were flabbergasted with this appalling service and pleaded that he just wait for 30 seconds until our Grandmother could make it with the rest of our family up the dock to our tables (she's in a wheelchair). He still said no and said that "if our guests were going to be there, they would have been there by now." All of us are very frequent guests and we all removed our Frequent Beaver cards from our wallets, put them on the table and walked out. I will NEVER go here again, NEVER refer anyone to this establishment again and will tell everyone I know our horrific story of a restaurant that I used to love. Terrible management decision Flying Beaver.

Very rude

I dont know what possessed us to go here (well one of my girlfriends said they have a good view supposedly which they did) and we thought its safe enough as four girls going out and having a drink and catching up. INSTEAD we were ogled, stared at and to TOP IT OFF A GUY COMES OVER AND SAYS HE IS A PILOT AND HE LIKES US EVEN IF WE HAVE BOYFRIENDS Why is this world so annoying and why do they think wewill tolerate such vomitous behaviour? Of course we didn't. Gross men

Not your Typical Mark James Restaurant

The Flying Beaver is a great spot to go to catch a casual bite to eat and watch the comings an goings of the float planes at the Fraser River Float plane dock. It is so much fun to sip on great beer and eat great food while you watch people come and go on the float planes. This location does not have the typical Mark James group menu and they have fun with the location next to the airport by naming some of the menu items with plane themed names. They have a great selection of burgers and sandwiches and the pizzas and bowls are also fantastic! They are also an excellent spot for brunch and are often packed in the mornings on the weekends. Next time you are looking for unique spot to have brunch or a great meal head into the Flying Beaver!

The Flying Beaver is ready to help you take Marpole nightlife to new heights. Situated on the Fraser River by YVR’s South Terminal, the waterside location offers plenty of idyllic views of floatplanes and local wildlife. Craft brew fans will likewise be in awe of the number of B.C. beers on tap. Considering the spot is a little off-grid from regular transit and taxi routes, note that The Flying Beaver offers a complimentary shuttle service to those staying for more than a round.

Got a budding pilot in your family? Airplane buffs will get a kick out of watching the Harbour Air seaplanes taking off and landing from the windows at Flying Beaver Bar & Grill. The riverfront pub in Richmond is located on a well-travelled flight path along the Fraser River, while the kitchen serves West Coast seafood and upscale pub fare that’s exponentially better than any in-flight meal service – we’re talking glazed salmon, blackened barbecue chicken, grilled pork chops and more. With $20 Dine Out lunch and dinner menus on offer, this scenic spot delivers great value with a view.
