We are family run restaurant and believe in two things - Service and Quality! We never compromise on these promises to you. Located in the heart of China Town, we are close to the Art District.
If you like tofu, go for this very traditional pad Thai. If not, tell them to axe the tofu and throw in some delish chicken instead. The base of the pad Thai – the fried rice noodles, green onions, peanuts, carrots and bean sprouts will remain intact. This cozy Thai restaurant is located smack dab in the middle of Chinatown, and never disappoints me. They only accept cash, so come prepared.
Some like it hot. This Chintatown gem isn’t afraid to dial up the spice, so make sure you request a milder version if you are spice-averse. Authentic green curry and papaya salad will have your taste buds roaring. Leave enough room for dessert, as the purple rice steamed with coconut milk is served with fresh mango and a scoop of ice cream, the perfect ending note to soothe your palate.
Quality Thai food always hits the perfect balance between spicy and sweet, and Boualouang Laos & Thai does it very well. Their tom-ga-tee is my favourite soup in the city – it’s rich, creamy and heats up my mouth and belly with its ideal level of spice. The mango salad, which also has shrimp, onion, mint, cilantro and peanuts, comes spicy, which contrasts nicely with the sweetness of the mango. Fans of chilis will like the drunken noodles, which come with an exquisite red chili-based sauce.
